Biographical Information

Georgia is a mid-westerner by birth. She spent most
of her childhood years in northern Illinois and much of her adulthood
in Wisconsin. After having lived in Texas for 6 years she has
moved to Maryland where she now resides. She has a painterly abstract
style in which she studies relationships of people one to another-
often times emphasizing figures in the works. She works in painting,
printmaking, and ceramic mediums, often, recycling materials which
come her way. She has earned both a bachelor's and master's degree
from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. Her undergraduate
degree majored in Art and her graduate degree combined Art and
Psychology to further her understanding of the principles of Art
Therapy. She has continued studies in Studio Art at both Sul Ross
State and Texas Tech University. She has taught many different
aspects of art to individuals of all ages. This has included starting
an art program at a private school and teaching Art Survey I and
II for 3 years at the Southwest Texas Junior College in Del Rio,
Texas. She has been involved in many Art in the Community programs
in both Wisconsin and Texas by working with the local regional
art centers. She served on the Board of Directors of the Casa
de la Cultura in Del Rio, Texas, representing women in the arts.
